About the Team


The Product Department at Jacaranda Health is responsible for designing, developing, and managing digital tools and solutions that strengthen maternal and newborn health outcomes. The department leads the full lifecycle of product development, from needs identification and user research, through design, testing, deployment, and monitoring to ensure solutions are scalable, user-centered, and aligned with the organization’s mission.


About the Role


Jacaranda Health is piloting a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Interactive Voice Response (IVR) service targeting low-literacy mothers in Kenya. This study aims to test whether IVR can effectively reach mothers from low socio-economic backgrounds who may be underserved by SMS messaging. The service will provide maternal health information in English and Kenyan Swahili.

We are seeking a professional female voice talent to record approximately short audio prompts in both languages (not more than 2mins per audio ). Recordings should be clear, warm, and easy to understand by mothers with varying literacy levels.


Location: Remote, Kenya

Start date: January 2026


What You’ll Do:

  • Record and deliver audio prompts in English and Kenyan Swahili (Kenyan dialect).

  • Maintain consistent pronunciation, tone, and pacing, and deliver high-quality, clean audio files in MP3 format.

  • Provide initial sample recordings for testing and feedback before proceeding with the full batch of recordings.

  • Interpret and convey the tone of the scripts in a tone that is clear, informative, empathetic, culturally appropriate and easily understandable for the target audience.

  • Incorporate minor revisions if required.

  • Collaborate with the Jacaranda Health project team to ensure the final audio files meet the project's objectives.

  • Complete all recordings and file submissions before the end of January.

Who You Are:


What You Bring

  • Voice talent fluent in English and Kenyan Swahili.

  • Proven experience in voice-over, radio, IVR, or audio narration.

  • Experience producing professional, edited, and mastered audio recordings.

  • Familiarity with health or community-focused content is a plus.

  • Ability to meet project deadlines and respond to feedback efficiently.

  • Empathetic, culturally aware, and clear vocal delivery.
